I'm now working on my new Dell Precision M90 widescreen laptop I got from work.
The machine is great in every aspect, however, when surfing the web I got poor image quality both in IE and FireFox.
So, I started playing around with screen resolutions and Nvidia Display driver settings none without success. After a bit of googling I found a fix:

again, changing one tiny Bit solved the problem :)
If you want a list of available reports and a report viewer web part in Office Server 2007 then you need to import these web parts.
By default you can find the web parts from SQL Server 2005 in this directory:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab"
U can use the stsadm tool from sharepoint to import these webparts into Office Server 2007 using this statement
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\BIN\STSADM.EXE -o addwppack -filename "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab"
Read more about this here
In the next Service Pack for SQL Server (SP2) a richer integration will be available between SQL Server Reporting Services and Office Server 2007, more on this later.
Since the launch of Visual Studio 2005 back in October 2005, we did several projects, ranging from Web applications, web services and winforms apps.
Back then we were still relying on Visual SourceSafe as source control but we slowly changed this to SubVersion, hoping this would reduce the erroneous character of Visual Studio. It isn't a fact but it felt that Visual Studio was a bit less buggy and was crashing less often.
One of the biggest headaches we had was the changed approach for web applications. No more web project files, and this in combination with Visual Studio resulting in a pain when checkin/checkout process.
But hopefully this comes to an end with SP1 for Visual Studio. We're going to get this SP rolled out asap and we pray for the gods this Visual Studio version will make up our losses from the last year.
I finnally managed to migrate to the latest version of Community Server 2.1. In one breath we changed hosting to ASPNix.com.
So, after a long awaited migration we're finnaly ready to get back to you all with new articles, tips and in depth information in today's IT landscape.
With every new version of CommunityServer there comes new options and theme's, mine's already set to winter :)
The only visible changes that disturbed me a bit was the fact that teh home page of the community was almost blank. In CS2.0 it showed the agregated postings of the blog sites. This is something that was changed in CS2.1. I asked this in the forum and got an excelent reply to get back the CS2.0 look & feel
At work I'm bussy with the new Information Worker platform of Microsoft, that is; the new Microsoft Office 2007 Suite and the Microsoft BI platform. As I'm grinding my way through the new bits, I'll post you my findings on this blog.
